Sympathy Cards for My Sis

Hello fellow Stampers and Paper Crafters!

My Sister asked that I please make a few sympathy cards for her and I pulled my favorite stamp set for such an occasion...Thoughts and Prayer which I am so glad carried over to the 2013 catalog!

Here I used Early Espresso and Rose Red card stock in addition to the Scallop Trim Border punch, Oval Scallop punch and Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.

In this card I used several tools, the Framed Tulips EF, XL Oval, Scallop Oval and Modern Label Punches with Sahara Sand, Early Espresso and Always Artichoke card stock.

For my final card I used Perfect Plum and Sahara Sand CS, the Framed Tulip EF and some adorable butterflies I cut with my handy dandy Big Shot and Beautiful Wings Embosslit.  Instead of the stamp set I used for the other two cards I decided to use the vine from the Elements of Style set which is also being carried over to the new catalog! Unfortuately the sentiment "Thinking of You" from the stamp set Sincere Salutations will not be in the new catalog...sniff!  I guess I'll have to find another one to use for my Workshops but I love this one so much I'm sure to still use it for my classes and commissioned work.

Ok, until next time...Happy Stampin'!

More Photos from Relay for Life 2012

Hello fellow Stampers and Paper Crafters!

I wanted to share just a few more pics from Relay for Life 2012.   I found these on my Daughter's facebook page, she did a much better job of picture taking than me...which is why she's great at Scrapbooking and me not so much!

Until next time...

Relay For Life 2012

Hello fellow Stampers!

Last night I attended my very first Relay For Life.  We donated $100 so that we could have a Tiki Torch to light In Memory and In Honor of our family and friends who have been touched by Cancer.  I didn't find out until the day before that I could decorate the torch and surrounding fence so I quickly made a little sign and used curling ribbon that flowed to the bottom as an added touch.  Not bad but next year I plan to have pictures of all our loved ones to display...I wish now I would have taken pics of all the torches and luminaries which were lit, there were hundrends lining the bottom of the fence but I was so overwhelmed and actually surprised in the emotions this brought up, I just didn't think about it.

These are our loved ones who have been touched by this terrible diease...

Hello Baby!

Hello Fellow Stampers and Paper Crafters!  Below are pics of the card I sent to my good friend Carol who just became a Grandma again.  I used the retiring stamp set Fox & Friends, Marina Mist CS and Ink along with E. Espresso CS.  If you click on the pic you may be able to see that I used two separate embossing folders!

Ok, until next time...Happy Stampin'!

Happy Mother's Day!

Hello fellow Stampers and Paper Crafters!

I wanted to quickly share the card and gifts I made for my Mom Perry (my first Husbands Mom).  I'm still very close to my In-Laws and she is my only remaining Mother so I wanted to make it extra special!

Now, I know I've used this card design before but I just love it and that's the great thing about using paper crafting and card making tools...all you have to do is change the color scheme and designer paper and you have an entirely different project!!!  I've used Marina Mist Ink, Card Stock and Beau Chateau dsp (retiring May 31st) in addition to Embosslits, Punches and Embossing folders to create this beautiful card.

Below, I took a plain white lunch bag, trimmed the top and used the SU Scallop Edge Border punch to make a pretty decorative edge then folded top over and applied a cute butterfly (Sizzix Embosslit) and pearl embellishment. (later I added a tiny clothespin to keep it closed).  I used a large wood clothespin, added dsp and Owl Builder Punch for a way for her to keep notes or an important picture.  Finally, I also used my new Mixed Bunch Stamp Set and matching punch to make a cute note card set.

Ok, folks gotta run...I've been very busy on a craft room project and until I finish I am limited on the projects I can do...I promise, I'll share it all when I'm done!

Hostess Club Challenge and Project

Hello Stampers and Paper Crafters!

Thursday night  was our Hostess Club Meeting, our challenge was anything with fruit.  I chose to make a card using SU retired stamp set Tart & Tangy and a Paper Rosette apple I cased from our Leadership 2012 Conference.  Was thinking Apple, for an Apple a day keeps the doctor away...so a get well card seemed appropriate.
The girls liked my apple so much they've ask that I demo it for May's Hostess Club...I'm very proud but now I must figure out measurements!  I just winged it from a pic from the conference and didn't write anything down...wish me luck replicating it again, it was easy the first time, no pressure this time though I'll be instructing seven fellow members!

I also wanted to share pics below of the adorable Nugget Gift Box Linda Fisher had for our project.  It is so cute and just change out designer paper to match your occasion. Now, I will say the window sheet was a little challenging to form but it was well worth it in the end!   Ok, until next time folks...Happy Stamping!
